Maybe or maybe not but don’t forget that Google just announced that there are more than 250 Million Android Device Around The Globe which means Android is not an easy player to beat and still gaining its popularities.
Sony will use these weapons to compete with iPod Touch, Walkman Z are equipped with touch screen measuring 4.3 inches 800 × 480 pixels, the NVIDIA Tegra 2 1GHz processor and using Android 2.3 Gingerbread as the operating system. Currently, Sony is not the only manufacturer that presents a PMP (Portable Media Player) based on Android operating system. However, various advantages possessed by Walkman Z lies in the sophistication and features of Sony audio technologies which has been known and tested for decades.
Various Sony audio technologies will be embedded into this device such as active noise cancellation technology, S-Master digital amplifier MX, Clear Bass, DSEE high-frequency restoration, virtual surround VPT, Clear Phase, and Clear Stereo. Another plus, Sony Walkman Z will be accompanied by in-ear headphones Sony EX-HP which can be found inside the sales package.
In addition, the Sony Walkman Z also comes with FM Radio, Bluetooth Audio, HDMI output, and DLNA streaming. And thanks to the Android OS planted inside, you can be jammed with a variety of applications from Android Market. Music fans can also take advantage of Sony Music Unlimited service, Sony’s digital music store that not only includes music but also gaming, e-book and video streaming services. Please note: Digital music service is not available in all countries.
Walkman Z accompanied by 802.11 b/g/n WiFi dan Bluetooth. With the WiFi support you can connect to Android Market, browsing and check your email. Walkman Z also allowing its users to transfer data or music from iTunes 2 for Windows or Windows Media Player.
The plan, Sony Walkman Z will be available in the U.S. market on the first quarter of 2012 (March – May) with price around U.S. $330 for 32GB, U.S. $280 for 16GB capacity and $250 for the 8GB version.
