Kindle Fire vs Nook Tablet

Barnes & Noble Inc. to answer the Amazon who first launched the tablet computer. Today, America’s largest bookstore is also jump on this market.
Nook Tablet device already available via pre-order and will be shipped in Barnes & Noble stores and retailers. It costs about $50 more expensive than Amazon’s Kindle Fire.


Then what about specs? Claimed by chief executive William Lynch why the price is more expensive because it offers experience on a faster and smoother when reading books, playing games or watching movies. Nook Tablet armed with 16 GB of storage and 1 GB of RAM. For comparison, the Kindle Fire has smaller 8 GB storage and 512 MB of RAM.

Nook Tablet promised longer battery life up to 11.5 hours,more durable than the Kindle Fire that has up to 8 hours battery life. Regarding the operating system, both device Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet use the Android Gingerbread OS and connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi without offering 3G or 4G. Both also have a cloud-based storage.

If the Kindle Fire offers abundant content, then Barnes & Noble focused on digital content reading. As for music content, TV and movies, Nook using third party providers such as Netflix, Hulu and Pandora which is already pre-installed on the Tablet.
