From recent study it is known that iOs apps crash more often than Android applications. Crittercism monitoring company is researching applications for both operating systems.
From the study it was known that there are as many as 28.64% in the IOS 5.0.1 application that crashes. This figure is far more than an application for Android which is more stable. For the latest Android, 4.0.1 or usually called Ice Cream Sandwich there’s only 1.04% of applications crash.
There are many reasons why so many application crashes on iOs, it could be that the application crashes on IOS 5.0.i because the operating system is fairly new, but it turns out that the older IOS versions, the number was spelled out quite a lot. As an examples for IOS 4.2.10 it has 12.64% of applications crash, then the IOS 4.3.3 there is as much as 10.66% of crashes apps.
Another cause of crashes are because of Internet connection which is also referred causing more frequent application crashes on iOS. When the phone disconnected from the Internet within a specified period or something happens when switching between 3G or WiFi also cause some apps crashed.
Language support in a number of devices and memory problems where an application often takes a lot of memory, contributing to the vulnerable application to crash. There will also be a problem if users rarely update the phone operating system to a newer version.
Crittercism analyzed a total of more than 214 million different applications which were released between November and December 2011 for this report.
